After graduating from Smith College School for Social Work, I worked on inpatient psychiatric units and in mental health clinics before opening my private practice. I participated in a four-year training program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis. I completed psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (ICP&P).
I am the Faculty Coordinator for ICP&P where I teach and supervise in the psychoanalytic and psychotherapy training programs. I also teach psychiatric residents at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
